Re-plushing a hard case

Are the vapors from any of those adhesives or foam harmful to the finish on the bass?

The only finish I would have any qualms about would be real deal nitrocellulose lacquer. Any of the more modern finishes shouldn't bat an eye at anything.

NEVER use 3M 90 on foam. And frankly, I would avoid 77 as well. Solvent based adhesives can eat the foam and out-gas some really nasty toxins. And it doesn't happen all at once and right away. Use an adhesive made for foam.

I use hiker bed rolls for the foam material... high density.. closed cell
