Double Bass Realist + Wilson

Hi,
I had that combination on my bass for a while but none of these pickups really worked for me. The realist was to dull sounding on my bass and the wilson made my bass sound like a big fretless bass guitar. The result when blending them was not that bad, but compared to the price paid for the pickups + the blender, my Fishman Full Circle does the job better for a fraction of the price. Every bass/set-up sound different, this was my experienced. I've heard people have tremendous sound both with wilson and realist alone.

Rick Turner has had very favorable comments
on this type of combination. The problem is
that every bass is so different. My friend has
2 basses that don't seem too different. One
sounds amazing with an old fishman pickup
and no preamp. This usually sounds like puppy
snot on any other bass I've ever heard.
I've been using a realist and underwood with a
raven labs blender. Nice! I'm about to do the
wilson and realist. The fishman full circle didn't
knock my socks off on my 1940's german round
back. Good luck!
