REBOP's playability

Played a four and a five Rebop recently. Played like a dream. Far better than my made-in-korea Spector neck-through.

Amazing balance, responsiveness, tone.

I was quite ready to buy but held off for a fretless (I just don't play fretted enought to warrant another one).

I thought the Spector REX 4/5 sig played a lot nicer than the ReBop series. :hmm: It was a pain in the butte for me, because I'm a pick player, and my pick kept hitting the enormous pickups that stick right out of the body. The small body meant I was picking in a place where I usually wouldn't, so if you're a pick player definitely try before you buy.

Yeah, Spectors have those "baseball bat" necks. They can be tough to grip if you have small hands. I had a Legend Bubinga for awhile and loved it. It's in my avatar as a matter of fact. Haven't messed with a Rebop though. Maybe I'll play one next time I go to GC, which will probably be Wed. Let you know then.
