Reccommend me some "hard"-ish songs to learn

To represent the "heavier" side of the spectrum Karnivool is a good blend of fun to hardness ratio. "new day, eodilin, are great examples.
Haken are another band with incredible technical bass that crosses genres.
Tesseract have some brain melters especially in the tempo and use of techniques.
There are many many more that are even heavier but these bands are able to cross genre and appeal to musicians without too much effort.
5 string is needed for alot of this though and karnivool and Haken use 6 strings for even greater fun.
