Recomend a cheap 5 string

I'm a small business owner and keep a cheap p bass at work. I'm wanting a cheap 5 string I dont have to worry much about. My main basses are a MIA P and a carvin sb5000. I was thinking about a squier deluxe active jazz. Would the neck be similar to my carvin?

Not because I am selling one, but the Peavey Millennium BXP 5'er has a nice neck and sounds decent. You can find them for around 200 bucks used all day.

Honestly, you should give the olp mm5(?) a shot. Not because I'm partial to ebmm, but really.....the necks are pretty good and my old one was very balanced.

If you're looking for a cheap bass that is replaceable all day long, there's always the SX brand. Sure they aren't the greatest, but after a setup, they play perfectly fine and do the trick.

I have the 6 string version... talk about bang for your buck!!! You'd never be able to tell there's that much of a difference in price between my LTD and my Sadowsky... obviously it's no Sadowsky, but WOW!

If you're looking for a cheap bass that is replaceable all day long, there's always the SX brand. Sure they aren't the greatest, but after a setup, they play perfectly fine and do the trick.

I bought my 5string from rondomusic, but took a step up from teh SX line... got myself a Brice HXB-405 (fretless!) for under $300. Played great right out of the box!
