Recommend me a bass guitar! (for once)

So, I have decided to stick to four string basses.

Now I would like a bass guitar that fits the following criteria:

1. Is a four string
2. Is suitable if not optimised for B-E-A-D tuning
3. Is easily available in the UK

Now I love my Warwick, so I know what you're all going to say, Taranis, however I find these to be too pricey.

I am aware of the Sandberg Terra bass, problem is they are not that common over here.

Thanks for your time.

My price range is the £400 sort of option, as for Fenders, they are ridiculously overpriced here. Musicmans, even used are around the £800 mark here.

At the moment I have no clue what £400 is in US, but its half 4 in the morning here, so I don't really know a whole lot at the moment.

:/

i have a spector euro lx4-35 that is supposed to be tuned B E A D but my band tunes C G C F but when i first bought it, it was tuned to B. i loved it. i'd recommend it.

edit: oh... 400 (insert pounds symbol here) is like 650 american... the spector i have was a noticeable amount more. try the spector legend series, though. they are pretty nice, and within your price range.
