Recommend me a digital camera.

I've decided it's finally time to stop using the disposable. I don't need a super, 12 billion megapixel one either. Anything that's 150 or less would make me very happy. The only thing I really want is a camera that doesn't have 800 menus like my sister's does. It's super confusing.

Samsung S850 or S1050, decent pics, and full manual mode. Good stable housing.

I just bought a Canon S5 IS and I really like it. Easy to use.... 8 mega pixels. You can take a 30 minute video with stereo sound on a 2 gig card. Its worth looking into.

+1 I just bought one too, and am very happy with it! It has a super long 12X zoom and a manual mode. Overall GREAT camera!

Sony DSC-W100. Spent ~$200 on the 8.1 MP version, but there's a 7.2 MP version for $180 as well...Really, REALLY easy to use.

I'd give the +1 to either the Canon mentioned or the Sony. Both are great cameras, especially the Canon. It's more than $200, though, to be sure.

If you want to take great pictures make sure the digital camera you buy has the most optical zoom you can afford and not digital zoom (Try to buy a camera with at least 10x optical zoom)

Perfect point and shoot, IMO:
7.1 Megapixels
3x Optical Zoom
4.4 Ounces
3.4" x 2.1" x 0.7" about the size of a deck of cards

I've used Powershot Elphs for years, next to my Canon DSLR. My SD600 goes with me everywhere. My mom's SD400 goes everywhere with her. Even I'm thinking of upgrading to the SD1000 now.

Just read in PC Magazine that it is one of the top 99 devices of 2007. Not only do I love it, but a bunch of nerds do too.

I got a Canon Powershot A560 last month and love it. 7MP, easy to use, good features and it's only $150 at walmart.com
