Recommend me a looper.

So I have this crazy idea.

My sister is a dancer.

I'm just starting to get into the whole 'solo bass' thing.

See where I'm going with this?

not exactly. are you looking to play over pre-recorded beats or your own playing captured live?

So what are your favorite loopers?

Loopers Delight has a good listing of whats out there.
i use an Akai Headrush E2. relatively cheap & easy to use. no storage capabilities.
Boomerang has a nice unit but a bit more complicated & expensive.
Boss has a new RC-3 out with a TON of sampling time if yer looking to store clips to play along with.
Line6 DL4 delay/looper is a trusty & popular unit.

it all depends on what is important to you & your playing style.

Hi! I've got the same problem (want you to recommend me a looper). My favourites are: Boss RC-50/RC-300 or AKAI HeadRush E2.
But could you please tell me one thing?
Is there a loop station that when you record a track (for example 5 seconds) and want to record second track - just press the switch during the first track but no matter when, not equally when the first track ends? And looper then starts to record the second track when first track ends? Is that possible?

I'd say it "works", but I have trouble with levels. Like the loop level vs dry. Any tips?

well for me i always turn the FX level on the pedal all the way up and then when i make a loop i turn the volume on my bass back some and then when i wanna solo over the loop i turn my bass' volume back up to compensate. i agree though it is a bit irritating at times.
