Recommend me a preamp/DI for live and studio recording

I really try to keep things simple..... for live with amp, it's really tough to beat the di out of my Shaw B150... it's a Jenson transformer tapped off the OT. Ampless, I just run my Stomp into a Radial Highline (love this and got a great deal on it!).... but keep in mind, the audience just can't hear the difference in your di of choice. In our studio or tracks I'm laying down for someone, I'll use the lowly Countryman.. because it's clean enough for me to process in the box or reamp into my Shaw or mid 60's b15.... baked in box tone on a di is not always desirable.

Been using a Noble consistently for almost 10 years. It does what you want ... exceptionally well. When I got mine the price was half of today's list, so that's a consideration. But it's an impeccably good preamp/DI. Just fired mine up for a session in about an hour. Every time I use it the tone brings a smile to my eyes and pleasure to my ears.
