Recommend me a reverb pedal but...

My pedal board is quite Boss heavy atm so I'm keen to try a different brand. Typically I'd resort to TC or EHX but I'm open to suggestions.

I'm a big fan of designs like the Iron Ether Nimbus that offer a high pass filter on the reverb path to keep low end out of the added ambience. I find this helps to keep things less muddy when using reverb in a bass application.

Neunaber Wet pedal. I've had that on my bass pedalboard for years. It is a beautiful sound.

Zoom MS70CDR+ is well worth a look as there are a broad range of Reverb sounds from simple and small to enormous with complex modulation, pair that with the delay and other modulation tools and there are pretty endless possibilities. My only issue with the CDR+ is the ios only GUI which is a bit of a drag as all my other fx are perfectly happy with PC and Android, for that reason I am still working primarily with the original version that still sounds very good. .

Mono, or should it be stereo capable?
Are you looking for a traditional reverb sound (hall, room, plate, spring) or are you looking for something that can do multiple modes and/or more creative sound design like shimmer or pads?

I've tried both the IE Nimbus and Neunaber Wet. While I'm a huge IE fan and currently only have the Nimbus, I think I might prefer the Neunaber for reverb. It's a really great pedal and easier to find/ cheaper than the Nimbus. I also had a TC Hall of Fame a while back and that was super solid as well and really fun to check out all of the different tone prints.

I'm from Portland, so I like the catalinbread and Mr. Black, but I have been very impressed with the simple and affordable JHS 3 series reverb. And you can probably pick one up used for like $75.

I'd check out the Source Audio Ventris IF you think you might also be in need or have interest in delay as well. I have been using the SA Nemesis for delay the last few years but I got that before the Ventris was available otherwise I would have gone for that for both delay and reverb.

Edit: I meant the SA Collider, not the Ventris, for a combo of reverb & delay.

I like the Boost RVB from tech 21. It gives my bass a nice airy sound that I'm looking for and if I'm playing something high up on the neck the boost helps me be heard.

Dark World on bass is pure magic.

Another vote for Neunaber. But I’ll suggest the Seraphim, which is a shimmer pedal. It has a hidden feature that if you hold the switch it will switch to a W3T reverb. So you get the wet, but also a shimmer.
