I just finished my design. And I have the lumber to do it. 1" nominal pine (1x6 rough pine). I will need to surface it, and plane to 1/2" (If you can't DIY that, just get 1/2" plywood, I am doing a Run What Ya Brung project...).
I am doing 3 2" slats with a 1" space between, and a purpose drilled hole to pass a right angle cable for the Fender footswitch (a non Fender right angle cable has to dump straight down, or straight up, it cannot go to the back, the body of the pedal is in the way...
Materials to be used are...
1x6" SYP, jointed, planed and thicknessed to 1/2" thick.
2" Velcro sticky back hook and loop tape. Probably recycle from my current board, use 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to help get it to re-stick...
1.25" #8 wood screws
Titebond II wood glue.
Paint primer.
Flat Black spray paint.
Small hammer on rubber feet.
I already have 100% of the materials in my shop. So this is a no additional cost aside from my time project, and I get to build it to my exact specs, after finding out what doesn't work well / make me happy on my current build.
