Recommend Me Cabs Please

I’m looking for a pair of 1x15 cabs. I’d likely use one a lot of the time for small/medium indoor stuff...having a second to add when needed. Important factors are weight(at least somewhat lightweight), size(the smaller the better). Loud is good, thick is good.
I’d be using these mostly with an 800w Aggy, 4 and 5 string.
I don’t mind spending good money on good gear so most any price point is ok.
I generally like a big, full and heavy sound.

I’m not against 12’s or 10’s or 8’s but that’s not what I’m looking for. 15” cabs that have additional mid/hf drivers in the box are all good...just as long as there’s a 15.

Another Mesa Subway 115 fan here. I've spent more money on a cab before, but never gotten a better one than this. Absolutely love it. Also, these things can take a TON of power, more than all but a very few competitors.

Take a look at a pair of Acme B2 cabinets. These handle a Low B wonderfully. They are a 2x10 three way box that puts out about what a 15 can do.

I’m not totally against 10’s, I own and have owned 10” drivers/cabs and I understand their ability to get low. For me it’s more of a flavor thing. 15’s seem to have the low mids to support the bass a little more...the 10” drivers I’ve played have always seemed a bit on the “smooth” side.

The major shortcoming for me is it’s lack of sack, it disappears when you get outdoors or a very large space. It’s also a bit heavier than I’d like these days.

Yep. Subway 115. It's simply incredible. And, I mean, the dang thing can almost hide behind a bass!!

I can’t imagine. Maybe the outdoors in CT is smaller.

To be more specific, I’ve found myself rolling off low frequencies in order to increase overall volume to hear myself in larger spaces with the BE 1x15, I’m sure having two would be different. I had a BE 4x10 coax for a spell and it was quite a beast.

The stack gets the speaker closer to your ear. One thing about 15" speakers is a sort of beaming quality where the sound develops a little farther away from you -- 10's radiate sideways and upways more and you hear that mids/treble better. So having one of the 15's closer up towards you makes all the difference. Seriously -- those mids and highs are surely audible out in the audience -- if you get two, that bottom one will still be coupled to the floor and supporting the lows, and the upper one will act as a monitor, and also create that line array effect helping with evenness of dispersion on stage and to the audience. If you already have one, I can't recommend enough the idea of getting a second.

At 45 pounds, it's a midweight cab -- entirely worth it IMO. They're around -- maybe put word out to borrow one for a gig or a practice session and see what you think.
