Recommendatons for Luthiers

It would be very helpful to know who to check out, even a few horror stories (had one myself a few years ago, a total disaster - I wish I had done some research before). I live in a large metropolitan area but still find there is a shortage of good luthiers to work on my bases - I can do most of the basic stuff myself but I know my limitations. Mailing is mailing so location is not the critical issue. Many thanks.

 

Just info to file away in the event. I haven't been real impressed with the local talent.
