Record Player Maintenance

So I have this record player that's around 10 years old. What should I do to make sure it's in good shape? It's sounds okay but it has some snap, crackle, and pops. I'm not sure if it's the record player or the records. Where do I buy needles and how do I replace them?

Any information about record players would help me out cause I know very little about them.

What make/model are you talking about? A ten year old turntable isn't very old at all. I'm guessing the static and noise is coming from the albums and maybe the stylus (needle). Try cleaning your records really good. Check out the link posted about about DIY record cleaners and cleaning fluids. Thanks for the info. Crosley is the make but I'm not sure what model it is. I'm guessing about how old it is. I got it as a gift when I was younger and I mostly used the CD player on it. It's one of those that plays records, CDs and cassettes. It also has a line in.
