Recording an album: how many studio days?

Dunno, when I was working my first session recording gig, my customer had all her parts done in as little as three takes or 13 minutes. The 13 hour one didn't make it on record.

We did get tunes put to tape as quickly as 13 minutes, though. Engineering probably took some time, but parts were there real quick.

We have already recorded a single,

Take the number of hours that it took to record the single and multiply it by the number of songs you want to record. That should get you in the ball park.

Dustern recorded all day last saturday.

Got the drums, most of the bass and guitar parts for five songs, so about 50 minutes of music. Still need to do a few overdubs, and keys and vocals.
