Double Bass Recording directly into the Zoom H6 Mid-Side microphone

I've tried several different mics to record my bass, but none of the really expensive studio-type mics.

I have found that recording with a Mid-Side mic (which is one of the swappable 'onboard' mic options on the Zoom) gives a nice focused sound to the bass with a much greater presence. It seems more like you're really there. Here is a short clip as an example:

I still can't get over how this is the best recorded sound of my bass I have ever gotten. Not a great performance - we had never played this before and were basically faking it (which you can probably tell), BUT I LOVE the sound of the bass and that motivates me. So, I decided to share the whole tune.
