Recording newbie Interface hunting

I was wanting to get a mixer/interface device that will allow me to do the following:

Input a Bass guitar
Input a music track from iPad/player

Be able to Mix the two in real time, send that mix to a bass amp for monitoring and Record that mix on my PC all at the same time.

Would a PreSonus 2 input or a Focusrite Scarlett 2 input do this ? Or what device would you recommend ?

Don’t laugh. When I was beginning to record I searched through all of my old stuff and found a Behringer small format USB mixer that I had used for live performances. Since I live on a fixed income and don’t like to use household income gratuitously, I decided that it would be my interface. It has a few good features, you can set it up for zero latency monitoring and it has a lot of routing options. I think that you could easily accomplish your goal with this and you would also have a small format mixer for other projects.

There are so many interfaces out there these days (new and used). You can even get a Solo. All you need to do is import the music track into the DAW and then play/record along the bass through the interface. You don't need to "record" the music track from iPad/player into the interface. Just import the music file.

Plenty of "how-to" videos out there.
