Recording with Ampeg SVT-CL Head

hi,

i am a new owner of a SVT-CL Head made in USA.

if i want to record the preamp-sound can i hook
up a 4 OHM Dummy load to the speaker-output?
what do i need for a cheap diy dummy load?

or do i need to use sth. like this

it can be used as a dummy load so i guess its ok if no speaker is connected to the power attenuator.

if don´t crank the amp too loud is it ok to use a 100w Power Attenuator?


generally speaking how good sounds a svt-cl pre-amp signal
compared to a Tech21 sansamp Bass DI-Driver.

this does not help at all. how does a speaker with an impedance differ electrically to a Load with an impedance that matches.
