Double Bass Recordings/Players Using Magnetic Pickups

It seems that most bassists try to avoid having to use magnetic pickups as they don't capture the acoustic tone of the instrument well. Can you guys think of any bassists who have embraced the magnetic pickup sound and made it theirs live and on record?

Invalid Link Removed comes to mind and maybe Sebastian Steinberg (though I think he used an Underwood on those Soul Coughing records.)

P.S. I'm not arguing for or against the use of magnetic pickups so please don't start a flame war.

I've seen him several times with Lyle Lovett, and seen pictures of his setup somewhere, either on TB, or his own website, or maybe Bass Player Magazine. It's a complicated setup. At one time he used a Fishman BP-100 as part of his rig, but then he's Viktor Krauss.

Yeah, I think I've seen him using a Warwick Triumph too. Which, looks to me like it has a Shaller/piezo set up?

Yeah, looks like a BP-100 blended with a Krivo.

Viktor's recordings sound magnetic, esp. his solo records.

Anyone else doing it on record?
