VERY cool TL-5!! So, do the T-40 pups have bar magnets instead of poles, like Barts? Just curious since they were used originally in 4 string basses.

Yes they have bar pole pieces. The B string is a taste weak due to the lack of pole piece width but it's easy to adapt to it. I had to use the Wilkinson bridge to get the G over the pole piece and the B ended up where it is. Actually makes the output more balanced.

I was never a big fan of red basses but the matching headstock grew on me and I definitely got a White Stripes vibe off of it. Taking a chance on this one was a good idea, I couldn't be happier.
