Boy is my face red! I have said before that when I plugged the REDDI into the effect return, all I got was a hum. Apparently I should always wear my glasses because I was plugging into the send, not the return! Through the return it seems to work pretty well.

Sometimes I am one dopey bitch ;)

You need the large print version.

No doubt, Bill! These little heads could benefit from bigger print. For that matter, so could the big ones.

The other night, I was setting up my home stereo in our new place, and realized that even worse than the back of pro bass gear is the back of stereo gear. 6pt. black on black raised print on my Yamaha tape deck and graphic EQ took me about 10 minutes to 'see'. :(

Hey guys,
This is from the Sadowsky thread, but check out the links below. TB'er J. Brooks is the bassist in the band Rubblebucket. He is playing a Vintage model Sadowsky P bass, through an Aguilar rig. Look what is sitting on top of the Aguilar.......The REDDI
Great bass tone.

Didn't you come out of a lady, Jimmy?
We all did, but seriously...

"Came out of a lady, and I want you to save me, it's amazing"

I get that it's a girl happy she found a guy she can relate to, but that line is bizarre. Sounds like one of those lines you'd use as a placeholder while you think of something that makes sense, and everyone says, "No, that's a good line, keep it." ;)

No offense, J, if you're reading. I still think it's a hot band!

Speaking of Sadowsky & Aguilar:

I'll be using my REDDI together with the mighty Sadowsky SA200 and an Aguilar db212 at next month's session at Peter Gabriel's Real Word Studios (Invalid Link Removed)
I'll try to get some glamour shots :)

That studio is beyond World Class..!!!! Just incredible!! Take pics!....

Haha, no worries. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Looks like this thread's about to click over into another one. Kirk, your potential Mega Thread is now an actual Mega Thread. Nice going, pal! Couldn't happen to a nicer DI.

So for a DI that's touted as being a straight up DI that isn't intended to be a preamp, it functions as a preamp pretty darn well for me when I plug it in right ;) Had plenty of juice to drive my Micro VR from the effects return. Worked really well as a front end into the Micro VR, too. At first I thought it would act negatively on the REDDI to go through the Micro VR's preamp, but it really doesn't seem to in any permutation I've tried. Instead, it seems like the REDDI brings everything else up to its level of quality.

So I'm thinking that maybe the transformer output not going through the 1/4" out isn't such a hindrance to getting the REDDI sound through both your PA and amp after all. I can only pray that Peter forgive me for putting a Micro VR in the path of the REDDI, but I've never been much of a purist. If it works, I'll do it. And it's working so far.

EDIT: Changed my mind a couple days later. Was not happy with the changes the other gear made after all. Made the other gear sound better, but REDDI by itself to the board is the bomb, and anything in front of it compromised its performance to a level that I wasn't happy with. So forget that idea.

Holy Smokes Jimmy... I just noticed that!!

Can i ask the MODS , that when they start the new thread.. Please don't make some fancy name for the new thread.. Just call it Part 2 or something simple like that...Thank you
