There is no one special place for any REDDI / A-Design stuff so i figured I would start one..
Post any pics or comments that you have on the REDDI Tube DI.
Here are few pics that I have collected of my friends and their REDDI DI. Mine too!
Many times i used this for an Amp with IEMs..

Mine on a gig from last year.
I no longer use the Aguilar gear.

I very much like the REDDI. What I think I've neglected to mention in other threads is how subtle the effect of using it is. Yes, it sounds great, and in the same sense that a great preamp sounds great -- transparent, and friendly to use with other studio gear. It doesn't have the signature that I think some expect it to have, but that's its biggest virtue in my opinion. It's like the girl with bangs and a turtleneck, not the dame with a low-cut shirt and whitened teeth. You can take it anywhere, and it'll deliver.

P. Montessi is also very friendly through email. I'd happily buy one of these again, and I hope my time comes sooner rather than later.

The REDDI is by far the best dedicated D.I. i've ever used. That thing is killer! I think it's transparent, but definitely seems to add a heft to the notes that isn't there through other high quality D.I.s

I sadly sold my RedDI in a state of mental confusion.... or was it because it got too heavy and bulky on tiny stages.....???

Anyway, I am so sad I sold it...

I've never been happier with my onstage sound in my in-ear monitors and the FOH using my REDDI.

This caught my eye.....

What kind of noise are we talking about here, ground loop or something else?

Judging from the instruction manual (pdf file!), the "Thru" jack on the REDDI was intended to handle the split without any other devices being necessary - LoZ out to the PA and HiZ to your onstage rig

What kind of problem are you having with it?

There is something weird with the Aggy amp.. Almost all people that i know that have one ( DB750 or 751)there is an issue when using a REDDI and sometimes other brand external DI units..
Usually a grounding noise..
The REDDI does not have the issue with any other amp... So im guessing and from my experience there is something wonky with the Ags..

I recently purchased a REDDI and I have to agree with the others and say that it's the finest DI I have ever used. Because of the price tag, I get a little nervous dragging it out to gigs, but that's why I've ordered a road case similar to the one Kirk(svtb15) has. I own and still use a JDI in some of the "scary" venues, but the REDDI is the real deal. With the REDDI, my basses sounds fat and punchy, and sit perfectly in the track. It's worth every penny, IMO.

Here's some info not posted so far.
After much online research, I found the tightest fitting carrying case for the REDDI which is water tight, has a strong outer shell, is light, with sturdy latches and allows for over OR at least 1.25 inches of foam all around.
It's the Pelican Storm Case iM2306. Around $60.
My soundman at church, who loves my REDDI, flipped when he saw this case. Here are a couple pics.
I now trade off between using my REDDI or A-Designs P-1 or both!! They sound amazing through head phones.

there has to be a knockoff at harbor freight or deal extreme for a box like that. $60 for plastic and faom is a bit crazy.

I agree that $60 is too much. BUT, it is a very high quality case with super strong latches. I've had cheaper stuff for other equipment in the past, with poor results. That's why I went with a high quality product. I'd be interested in checking out the sites you mentioned an investigating.

The P1 is AMAZING as is the Pacifica.
I was in a session two weeks ago.. The engineers said he had an Avalon U5 for me to use..And I don't need to bring anything.. I said, have you ever heard the REDDI?
He said no. So I said i would bring it and i brought my REDDI with me...
I got there early as usual, and we did an AB test with my REDDI into one channel of the Paifica Preamp and the Avalon into the other channel. Avalon set in flat mode..

After gain matching ect .we layed a few whole notes. the eight notes and a couple of pop things..

The engineer then said to me.
We will use the REDDI on this session... It as as clear but much extended bottom and sat in the track better..
And now he want to buy one... ughhh my secret weapon is no longer a secret.. I may have to paint it Blue now..

The idea of ripping open a pillow & shoving the di in it & using the pillow case as carry bag has crossed my mind. Then again when I buy my red box tonight I might have second thoughts of doing that.
