For sale is a circa-2013 USA G&L L2500 5-string bass in black with maple made in Fullerton, California. This bass has two G&L Magnetic Field humbucking pickups, active electronics with 3-position pickup selector, series/parallel switch, 3-position pre-amp mode switch, with volume, treble and bass knobs, and coil-tap switch, producing a HUGE variety of tones. This is the second L2500 I’ve owned, along with a half-dozen L2000s. I love the flexibility of these basses, I call them Swiss Army Knife basses because they can do everything. I bought this one for a new country project but really needed a Precision (more to appease the snobs than the tone) so I’m passing this one along. This bass features a 34″ scale neck flat-sawn Hard Rock Maple neck with a Maple fretboard that has some beautiful figuring. The nut width is 1 3/4”. Weight on my kitchen scale is 9 pounds 10 ounces, which is great for a 5er. It plays and sounds great. I bought this bass last year here, and it is in near-perfect shape, with some minor swirling below the G string.
