Refurbished Bass

Hey Everyone: Just joined the site. I am rebuilding a old Japanese Bass Guitar with Fender Pickups, pick guard and bridge & pickup covers. I had to router new holes for the pickups and was wondering how deep should the holes be set at. Also, while I' am at it, should I change it over to a active Bass. Thanks for any help.

Hi- Welcome to the forums. A standard Fender PU route is 3/4" if I recall correctly.
