Reggae?

The Reggae/Dub knowledge on here is great!
I am in my own dub band, not a lot of people can dig the music... (we are in highschool so all of our piers musical pallet hasn't really been developed enough to like anything besides what is on MTV)
That is great some of you guys listen to Augustus Pablo, he is one of my biggest influences... King Tubby Meets the Rockers Uptown is a must have album.
If you want to see some new stuff check out Matt Jenson's Acid Reggae Xperience, this is amazing...
And Drifta, good post of the video with Horsemouth... I guess you have seen Rockers Jamaica, such a great movie.

like i said before, there is so many QUALITY reggae/ska/dub artists its impossible to list them all in one sitting(hence the relevency of this thread!!)
No way! We play Java as well! such a great song... We need a guitar player though haha, what is he using exactly to get that echo/delay effect...
he has reverb on his amp. but my buddy is a dub cutter, so he uses a lot of effects when mixxing and whatnot, thats a old recording he has made some really cool **** since. the guitar is reverb/wah. and i'm pretty sure he mic'd him up amp with the reverb and played his melodica through it.

Has someone already mentioned Steel Pulse? If you want to hear an amazing bass part, check out "Steppin' Out." One of those rare basslines that follows the vocal, in addition to being a real, rhythmic bass part. I don't know who the player is, unfortunately.
