Relic-ing

This is what I call relic'd

But it sure is a lot of fun upsetting purists.

BIG+1!!!!!!!
I've got two Fender Jazzes, a 08 American Standard and a R.W.
My Fender R.W. Jazz sounds, plays, feels, and looks pretty close to the beat-up 64 Fender Jazz I used to have.
Difference in the two, the R.W.'s neck is stable, the 64's neck would bow constantly.
My "shiny" 08 Jazz is pretty much a back-up instrument, the R.W. is my go to bass.

Paid 200.00 for a Classic Vibe Jazz which was the perfect candidate. Looked at lots of pictures on Ebay and Google. Upgraded the electronics to DiMarzio Area J's, CTS Pots, and a Faux Jazz Bass decal. Looks like it has mojo and sounds pretty good too. This was a fun project which im considering doing a few electonics upgrades (push/pull pot for Series-Parellel PU operation.) Has become a go to practice bass lately too.
