If you're a Gators fan it would be wise not to flaunt it up there.
Which sport is that? It's not hockey.

Come on, you live in Orlando--tons of Gators fans there!Which sport is that? It's not hockey.
I've driven in all of the cities with "bad" traffic:
NYC, Boston, L.A., Miami, Chicago, etc........
Atlanta was the worst I have ever experienced,

Hit me up if you need a bass player. My old teacher is still there and is the bomb.

I've lived here all my life. What part of the city will you live, and where will you work? Maybe I can let you in on some short cuts![]()
My company would do trade shows like twice a year at the Atlanta Convention Center and I would be in town all week. The two things I remember most about Atlanta is my wife and I being harrased by pan handlers worst than any other large city I have been in. The other is that traffic can be worst than here in LA. Of course that's just my impression as an out of towner. I am sure the locals are much better dealing with this kind of stuff.
My impressions of Atlanta:
-Nice city
-People talk funny there
-You can get the best Pralines
A few things:
Stay away from downtown at night
Have a good running car. Unless you are right off the rail line, MARTA won't help much.
Stay off I-285 between 430 and 6
Contrary to outsider's beliefs, the city of Atlanta is far from Southern Belles and Georgia Peaches. The city itself is a blue island in the middle of a red sea. It's rare to find anyone inside the perimeter with a southern accent.
History of the city according to most people here began in 1960 when MLK began preaching at Ebenezer Baptist Church. I'm not saying that in a good or bad way, but the city really has no identity before then in people's eyes.
All I know about Atlanta is that one of my old favorite shows seemed to be filmed there all the time. Man, what was the name of that show? It had a super catchy theme song...
Oh yeah, the show was COPS.

\I didnt have a hard time driving the three days I was in Atlanta. Then again, I dont generally have a hard time driving in LA either.
