CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, but:
I think the way adsense works is that the site agrees to host the ads, and they get paid money from that agreement. But they (ie; talkbass) don't actually get percentages from the revenue received from you visiting those sites and purchasing something. I think.:hmm:

But there are a few manufacturers on here that I have supported as well, but most of them have come down into the forums and made themselves available for discussing there product.

I had a similar problem, although it was a while ago.


The pages here were taking forever to load and I noticed at the bottom of the page it was the google ad's that was doing it.

I switched to Firefox with the "NoScript" add-on and the problem went away.

Currently blocking google-analytics.com and
google ad services.com.

The AdSense that I run on a couple of pages actually is a blend of just running the ad, and the CTR (Click through Rate) of those ads. You get a few pennies for showing the ad, and up to $2.50 or something for each actual click on the ad. There's a lot of gray areas, and there might even be different "levels" of Adsene that I'm not aware of.

Hmm. Interesting. I'll ask my coworker today. He hosts a bunch of fourms and blogs, sometimes with adsense.

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox3 and things are running faster.

The 1st day Talk bass loaded super quick and showed for a fraction of a second "The Latest Supporting Member" picture under the AD. It was really fast so not really annoyed.

Now today the "Latest Supporting Member" picture shows up for longer now underneath the Ad. Strarting to get annoying already. I happens everytime I pop in to a thread but not on browser back.

Yes TB is the only problem forum. It's fast but, it hangs on the AD and "Latest Supporting Member" pic that is now all the sudden showing up under the Ad. Definitely something weird going on.

I have Mcaffee, also stuff gets scanned through Norton coming through Yahoo mail.

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOl. Just downloaded it. No ads and the "LSM" pic no longer hangs and distorts down the page before loading the real reason I'm here, for info and commerotory.

Wow sweet. It was TOO easy to fix that problem. Rawk ' Roll.

Yahoo email ads are now blocked.
