remove hum/buz?

hey folks need some help here.
i got a ashdown mag 600. got a lot of power however the buz/hum is loud.
the hum/buzz is after volume with nothing pluged up but amp and speaker cab. swaped out amp with the guitar to see if it was the cab or the amp. it was the amp.
now is there any way to fix this by adding something between the amp and the speaker cab or do i need to look for something esle to solve this?

Does this always happen plugging into the same power outlet? Or have you tried this in other buildings? Could be a problem with grounding wherever you are plugging into the wall. Then again, it COULD be any of a dozen things but that's what jumped at me first.

Are you sure it's not just the cooling fan in the head? The cooling fan in my ashdown head is way loud and almost sounds like buzzing, but it's still an amazing head and the tone is incredible.

If you've only plugged it into different outlets within the same building, they (the outlets) are quite likely suffering the same problem... most likely a bad ground, or possibly not grounded (properly) at all. Also, if you have any type of flourescent lighting or lighting dimmers in the same room or even building, those may be causing RF interference that the amp is picking up as well.

I lived near some high-powered utility lines for a bit that caused all kinds of havoc with my recording gear and instruments... might be a possibility too if you live near something like that.

I'd take it elsewhere to plug it in before taking it to anyone to look at to confirm it's not some type of power/interference issue. Otherwise, you might be wasting money.
