removing control plate (musicman stingray)

hello all, does anyone know if replacing the control plate on a musicman stingray is a simple task? im hoping all i have to do is remove the knobs and screws and thats all. can anyone confirm or deny this? i want to replace it because i want to customize it with a different pickguard and control plate.

I did it recently, and I'm a moron...so yeah it is not hard.

i like the ray35 pickguard style so im going to get that custom made
