Removing paint from a pickup

Hi everybody. Been a while since I've been here.

I have a pair of Epiphone Explorer bass pickups that have been painted.

What happened was that I bought a used Epi Explorer on Ebay and when I got it, I noticed that it had originally been a natural one but someone had painted it black.

Not only that but when it had been painted, whoever did it had left the pickups on it unmasked.

I no longer have the bass but still have the pickups.

It looked like the painting had been done with rattle cans.

I don't know much about this but is there a way to remove the paint without scratching or melting the plastic on the pickup or are they a bin job?

try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, should do the trick!

Do the covers come off, or are they welded to the pickup?

Test this on an area to ensure it is safe. This stuff has worked
very well for me in the past.

Seruiously though, thanks for that. I've put it into Google to find it and although I can't find anyone online who sells it in the UK, it has pointed me in the direction of modelling shops as people use it to remove paint from radio controlled cars and other models.

I will be passing a couple of modelling shops in the next few days so I'll have a look out for it.
