Double Bass Removing the Bridge

My strings are pretty high now. I kind of like it, except in thumb position, but I think I'm going to have to have some bridge real estate removed. That extra 3mm of adjusters kind of took up the sweet spot.

Gig tonight, will have a stronger opinion afterwards.

I know I am stating the obvious here but...make sure the bridge is not pulling toward the fingerboard as this will raise the string height as well.

It is seated as it should be. I was maniacal about the whole procedure. The adjusters are just 3mm thicker than the ones they replaced.
