Removing volume pot?

I have an active preamp that I want to put into a bass but the bass only has three holes drilled. I don't mind drilling a fourth but when I thought about this bass's planned application I thought maybe I don't need the volume at all since it would be getting played in a loud band setting. I can always put it back later.

It's a 500k push/pull pot (the others are blend, treble boost/cut, and bass boost/cut)

Is this even possible? And if so how would I connect the other pots so I would still get volume?

The schematic looks a bit complicated to just remove it. If there is room in the cavity set the pot on or near full volume with the push/pull in whatever position you like best, wrap it in a polythene/plastic bag for insulation, put a cable tie or two round it and tuck it in if you can find a space somewhere.

Someone more familiar with the preamp may have a better solution.

Sure, you can remove the volume pot if you want.

That diagram shows some sort of funky PCB mount pot, so you may have to get out the ohm meter to identify the connections, if you can't make them out visually.

I had thought about something like that but a volume increase is also tempting. Do you know if the added volume from removing a pot is noticeable?

I've never had dealings with Warwick preamps so have no idea of how to, or what the consequences would be of removing the volume pot.

If you want a volume increase then just turn the gain and/or master on your amp up a bit.

It looks like the bass and treble boost/cut pots aren't attached directly to a circuit board so you might consider a "stacked" bass/ treble pot rated @ 100K ohms (Linear) each for ease of installation.
