Repairing Active Electronics in an Ibanez SR300DX

Repairing the active circuitry in a friends Ibanez SR 300 DX. Doesn't make a sound and from some threads I've seen on talkbass this can be quite common with them that the circuitry dies. Is there a fix I'm missing? Resolder all wire connections and a little contact cleaner everywhere?

This will be my first time replacing active electronics rather than passive. Any tips for me if I am replacing everything? Things I might easily muck up or overlook etc.

Also any suggestions for replacements? Have found the exact preamp for the model, but also read other recommendations. Saw cheaper ones for sale from 'Artec' which reviews said are decent for the price. Obviously its not an outstanding bass so he'll only spend about £100.

Any help appreciated. Thanks
