Double Bass Repertoire Help.

I don't think the dragonetti would be too difficult, It's always good to have a challenge, it's the best way to see your progress, allthough I discourage the Cello Suites at this time, they may look simple but I consider them very difficult material, It's really tough to play bach properly.

To tell you the truth, when I finish the capuzzi this spring, I'm planning to start the dragonetti.

My recommendations:

Dragonetti
Marcello Sonatas
Vivaldi Sonatas
Gavotte by Lorenziti
Apres un Reve

I can go on forever... there's soo much to play.

Mark Morton is in the process of recording much of the basic rep. Go to his site, buy both CD's and pick out some you like - you will be able to hear the level of difficulity. I love them!

I have both CDs.

My teacher works with Mark Morton at the ASODB. I have a lesson today so I'll ask her what she thinks.

Thanks again for all the help everyone!
