Hi Talkbass community.
Hoping I can use your collective nous to solve this conundrum for me. I have a Yamaha BBG5S which I love and adore. When it comes to insurance I have always just quoted the price I paid for it over a decade ago (about £500). However I'm thinking I should start to insure it for what the cost of replacing it today would be.
The problem is that bass has been discontinued and I am having a hard time working out what the equivalent model today would be. Anyone with any thoughts on this?
While we're on the subject, I also have a Bass Collection 4 string which I also need to insure (original cost price £400). However that is an even older model, also discontinued, plus I had it de-fretted many moons ago, so I don't think there is anything equivalent now to compare it to. However, if anyone can offer any advice.....?
