I have an active Ibanez SR405QW, and its great, but the pickups are rounded, so its closer to the middle strings and farther away from the lower and higher strings. I want to be able to get a wide variety of sounds, but especially for proggy rock/metal type music. So what 5 string active pickups should I get? And how much does it cost to get them replaced by a shop?

Do you not like the tone from the pickups, or you just don't like the arch? The arch matches the arch of the fingerboard.
Those pickups are not active, they are passive, but the bass had a preamp. In another thread you said they had too much mids and not enough highs and lows. Have you tried adjusting the onboard preamp to reduce the mids and boost the highs and lows? How do you have the onboard EQ set?
I have a feeling you have the EQ set wrong on the bass.
To find replacement pickups, you need to know what size they are. They look like EMG-40 size, which would be 1.5" x 4".
But if you have the EQ set wrong, new pickups will sound about the same.
