Replacement pups for mim jazz bass

I am looking for replacement pickups for my fender made in mexico jazz bass. I'm not sure whether my bass is a 98 or 99. the serial number is MN8156220. Any suggestions? I am looking for pickups that are noise cancelling and that arent too expensive. I would spend at the max 140 preferably something under 100 for a set. Thank you

That blows. My 5-string is like that, and it severely limited my selection. I'm sure Nordstrand could make you a proper hum-cancelling set, but they're probably expensive. SGD might be able to help you out, too. The alternative is to get 2 neck pickups. Should probably call Duncan or Dimarzio and ask about their hum-cancelling bass pickups. They'll be in your price range.

Honestly, though, get pickups based on tone, not on whether they cancel hum or not. I learned the hard way. :o

EDIT: Oh yeah, Bartolinis! Listen to SnakeKappele. :D

For hum-cancelling, some people seem to like the newer Dimarzio Area J pickups.

I haven't tried them yet, but I do like my Seymour Duncan Hot Stack for Jazz pickups.

I use 500k volume pots and a Fender TBX tone.
