Hello does anyone know what would be the best sounding ten's for the xlt eden cab. maybe the kappalite's, i am not going with the eden speaker's, i have eminence the peavey kevlar speaker's in it now that are getting a little sloppy because of thier age and i need to lighten it up a bit, what is the best bang for the buck ,i do like the cabinet,if anyone has any idea's i would love to hear them,Thank's Much!

Read the FAQs, do your homework, when you do you'll discover is that there are no Kappalite tens, and Eminence does not make Peavey drivers. Your seem to be looking for a quick simple answer. Where driver replacement is concerned there is no quick simple answer.
Eminence does make some drivers for Peavey (Blue Marvel, etc..) They have also made drivers for Eden...they still might. Not sure.

Thank's Guy's really wasnt looking for perfection it's not a number's game to me it's all about the sound to me,i did'nt like the eden's much a little honky in the mid's they also seemed to develope crease's in the paper along the outer egde's (this is the third eden i have owned that did this , iput the peavey speaker's in and got more bass out of the cab. no more creases and more than plenty of tone,i don't really care what the number's are on the cabinet and the air velocity and all that crap ,but i do know what sound's good so i'm gonna stick with the peavey Kevlar eminence.thank's for your help, guy's.

Sound reproduction obeys a fairly complex set of physical laws but they're laws, not really a guessing game. A guy like Bill or Greenboy can probably predict pretty closely how and enclosure will sound by looking at the numbers. They can't predict whether you specifically will like it, but they can tell you whether it'll have a lack of low end or sound scooped or whatever.
That said if you just through some Basslite s2010's in there I think you'd be fine.

I have a 210XLT and a few months ago, just for the heck of it I took some measurements of the cabinet (estimated the internal volume) the shelf ports and modeled it in WinISD with a pair of Eminence Deltalite II 2510s with the thought of cloning another cabinet (had the drivers on hand in other cabinets). Don't remember the exact response numbers offhand but it modeled suprisingly well. The only thing is that the xmax for the drivers were hit somewhere between 150 and 175 watts, so even though the pair would be rated at 500 watts thermal, one couldn't push them too much with a lot of low end EQ. Bet they would sound nice though.
Thank's i may just try those deltalites i did use the delta heavey's too much weight but sounded great i put them in the peavey cab. and sold it then put the eminence speaker's from the peavey in the eden" much warmer sound" ,i use the eden for the low's sound's almost like an 18 and a fender combo with a blackwidow 15 both 8 ohm powererd by a peavey 450 watt data bass head just the power amp i have 2 885 ibanez basses loaded with emg's one with the p in the neck and humbucker in the bridge 18 volt bqc pre and one with 2 dc45's with 18volt bts preamp ,i go thru a tech21 compacter to tame the signal then into a san's amp to power amp,i am a happy man !
Just an FYI, I am pretty sure the basslite series will take about the same power before overexcursion than deltalites, even though deltalites have more thermal rating. S2010s is what you want I believe. So you can save some money and get the same output

I have eminence speaker's in the cab. now so there should'nt be any problem but i do know what you mean i tried to put an eden 10 in a triad once and it was a little to big so i opted for a delta instead,just got back from seeing Steely Dan what a show!

I am not sure about those particular speakers i still have the eminence peavey's in my 4-10 they should work check the spec's on the eden and eminence and compare the two ,i had a 2 -10 xlt that i put evm 10's in they fit with no problem very heavey and very loud ,but i did not like the tone much.as far as ohm's go for an 8 ohm cab 2 10 you will need two 16 ohm speaker's hooked up in paralell ,i was told they would work in my 4-10 eden so they should work fine in a two ten ,you may have a problem finding 16 ohm speaker's,if i hook up for 10" 8ohm speaker's in series paralell i get 8 ohm's, but with two 8 ohm speaker's in series you get 16 ohm's and hooked up paralell you get 4 ohm's,so in order to get 8 ohm's out of a 2-10 you need 16 ohm speaker's wirerd in paralell i hope that make's sense to ya.good luck
Our 210xlt cabs are wired like this
D210XLT8 = TWO 4 OHM Eminence made to Eden spec speakers in series
D210XLT4 = 2 8 ohm Eminence speakers in parallel
D410XLT8 =4 8 ohm Eminence drivers the top two and bottum two speakers are in parrallel and they are then run in series with each other to create an 8 ohm load
D410XLY4= 4 4 ohm eminence speakers set up the same as the above cab.

My original cabinet is 4 ohm, and I want to convert it to 8 ohm.
Does the horn in my original 4 ohm configuration have any effect on the impedence?
That is, does it have to be replaced as well?
I will be purchasing two 4 ohm drivers and tell the tech to wire it in series.
