Replacement speakers

I was hoping for some input about diffrent speakers. I have a carvin 4x10 ported cab and was looking at replacing the speakers. What i wanted to know was if anyone had suggetions? I play mostly in c tuning and use a distorted tone i need a tight low end with some brightness for the highs as i play a lot of arpegio fills and do some trading off with the guitartist for solos.

Go to music stores and play through cabs until you find one you like, then buy it. Successfully replacing drivers in a cab to achieve a specific desired result requires a very high level of expertise. Meanwhile you'll probably get as many different suggestions for replacements as you get replies, 99% of them from guys who don't know any more about drivers than you do, and none of them from the only source who really knows what you're looking for: You.

+100 on what he said!!! Additionally, you may want to give serious consideration to using two cabs, one with a 15" or even an 18", and then one with a couple of 10's and a horn. Your C tuning may well need more low end support than any ten can give you. There are some very nice 15's and 18's out there on the smaller end that will pair nicely with a 2x10 and not take up any more space then your 4x10 does now.
