Atypical, not a typical...
So, Friction Broadcast (my band) has been toying around in the studio for a while now, and are starting to put together and new album.

I figured I would post this here to see what the effects world think of the recorded tone (clean and effected) through out the song.

If you like the song, leave me some feedback, and let me know what you think of the tone here. Share it with your friends, etc.

Just looking for some feedback. I will say this. It is a preproduction recording in our home studio. Motu 828 MKII into an iMac using live.

Bass was recorded direct using a three stage method. Bass into Direct box (send to board, out goes to pedal board) pedal board has two chains blended together to give clean/dirt, dirt/dirt, or clean/clean. With the third channel, I was ale to stack distortion effects for this song. Here is my chain:

Pedulla Rapture > Direct box (send/out to pedals) > Boss LS-2 > Chain A = Human Gear Animato Chain B = Russian Muff > output to Marshall DBS Head > Direct out to Motu channel 1, direct box into Channel 2. Minimal compression, eq'ing and other effects were put on. Mostly, just volume blend to get everything in there.

If you are interested in hearing more, hit me up.
