Responses quick, please!!

I played a Geddy for the first time today and I can see why they get such rave reviews. Get the Geddy, hands down. If I had 600$ I'd have one right now as well. The tones out of that thing are amazing, the neck is teensy and fast, it LOOKS good, and there's no unusable ugly tones about it. It's a great bass. I still hate most Fenders, but the Geddy gets an A+ in my book.

I listened to 'Moving Pictures' all the way to the store and back.

In a blatant show of disregard for the 'no pics, no bass' rule (I don't have a digital camera so the pics will be delayed) I have to say that I love this bass!!! It is so easy to slap on and just play in general. And the tone, oh dear, the tone...so nice. It is very crisp and clean whether I play slap, harmonics, pluck...you name it. I'm just floored

I played some slap improv, Portrait of Tracy, Road Games (snippets), Jamerson lines, Opus Pocus, and, of course, YYZ!

I promise I'll get the pics ASAP.

I also got the price knocked down to $600 and bought a Gator case for $70.

Thanks for all of the advice. Oh, and by the way, I believe the MIM is some kind of reissue or anniversary issue if that makes a difference in price. No matter, though, cause I am very pleased.

Congrats! Man I've been having severe GAS attacks for the Geddy for almost two years...

After playing all three I am most drawn to the Geddy. The tone is nice and crisp; same with the MIM but for some reason it seems a little less comfortable.

The MIA is very warm and inviting but doesn't have that really crisp sound, especially when I slap. But the feel of it is out of this world.

I think you've found the answer without our help.

I'll have pics posted this weekend. My neighbor is going to loan me their dig cam Friday and then email me the pics. I put up a pic of the Geddy and my whole family.

Thanks for all the input and support. This is a great bass and I really love it.

Go for the Geddy. Why is the MIM so much $?

Like I said in an earlier post, this shop is a mom-n-pop shop that has been around for ages. They have made it through all of the major openings (and closings) of big stores like Guitar Center and Mars. I don't begrudge them upping the price on some products because they give GREAT service and will cut deals where they can.
