Drooling on keyboard!
How many varnish coats do you have planned?
Thanks! I really did not want to do that. I added a coat of varnish today and worked on refining the neck shape a bit. Not a whole lot to show, so no pictures to post.Great! I was wondering about resetting the neck. Glad you haven't had to do it!
Regarding any potential neck re-set, is there some level of adjustability because the neck is removable, as opposed to a fixed neck?
My question there is coming from the world of banjos where nearly every neck is easily removable (to the point of often being interchangeable), action and projection are relatively easily adjustable, with the worst case of gently re-carving the heel, the best case being simply adjusting hardware, and the middle ground being adding or removing shims.
Beautiful grain! And, it's getting exciting now, anxious to hear your impressions of how it sounds!
For the port in the C-bout, has anyone determined whether a lid is necessary?

There's the lid! I was having a hard time getting it to fit correctly, because the cut-out piece changed shape just a little, when I added reinforcement.
