I was wondering if any one has one of these bags and how they would feel about flying on Delta with one. I saw the video of them throwing a Strat in one of these of the roof of a building. It was inpressive but I'm still not sure.

I have a RB gig bag and many others and would never check one on a plane by itself. Any gig bad would work for travel in one of theses.

Well, you have to specify what you mean by a Reunion Blues Gig Bag. The Reunion Blues Continental case is the one that they show the videos throwing off the roof of a building. That's a semi-hard case with an amazing level of padding and structure. It's a completely different animal from their normal line of gig bags.
I buy and supply the Continental cases as the standard cases for my own line of basses that I build, and I highly recommend them. I don't know if I'd risk throwing one of my basses off the roof of a four story building like they do, but I'd trust it with a 10 foot tumbling drop onto concrete. There aren't many cases you'd do that with, even flight cases.
Now, the Continental is not a certified flight case, so it won't be insured by an airline. To be really safe, you need an actual flight case, or that SKB overcase that Fivestringdan links to.
I just wanted to point out that the Continental is in a whole different class of protection from most gig bags.

I just flew on Delta from Oakland to Misoula MT, via Salt Lake City. Two flights were on dinky little Canada Jet planes. The other were on 737's.
I was carrying my Rob Allen MB2, in a ProTec case.
In all but the last leg home, the gate people let me get on in the first "Zone", to find a place to park the bass. It fit in the overhead on the little Canada Jet. It fit in the Business Class Closet on the 737.
On the last leg, the gate agent put up a fuss saying No Early Boarding for instruments. BUT a flight attendant standing there whispered she could put it in the closet for me. That worked. She did take a little heat from the gate agent, but it was all fine.
Do not check your bass as luggage!

+1! I've been flying to gigs now anywhere from 4-15 times a month for the last few years and I NEVER check my bass. I've had a few occasions where the plane has been so small that I had to gate check it, but domestically, they hand you the bass as you get off the plane. Internationally is a different story. Even if you gate check it, it still comes out with all the other luggage on the belt meaning it gets thrown around by lots of dudes and has the chance of getting swiped before you get to the luggage carousel. I always plead with them to let me put it in a storage closet since international flights are usually bigger planes there's always an empty closet or two! FWIW I travel with an IGiG single bag
What they didn't show was a Continental getting crushed under shifting cargo in the hold of a plane. I used one for several months and I certainly would never fly with it as cargo and it's way too bulky to pass as carry on. It is a very good soft case but it is not much smaller or lighter than a regular Fender type hard case...I can't really call it a gigbag. A Mooradian gigbag in a SKB Roto Case is what I'm leaning toward for some upcoming flying I'll be doing.
