Reverb seller blues

I normally has really good luck on Reverb. This seller just didn’t want to work with me on a bass that had been listed for 5 months. Guess he’d rather lose a sale.
I buy a Lakland US 44-64 from a store on Reverb and ask them to not ship it FedEx. They said they only ship fedex. Long story short, fedex delivers to my business before we open. The closest pickup locations, let’s just say they’re not convenient for me or my schedule.
Also at $150 for shipping they could at least accommodate my request to use UPS.
In the market for a USA Lakland 44-64 with a maple board if anyone has seen one. Prefer white, seafoam, or Sherwood green.

It is written:
He who hath the bass, maketh the rules for the sale.

Maybe UPS comes collecting parcels from their business before they open and the next drop off location is not convenient for them or their schedule.

It is up to the buyer to decide whether or not to follow through with the purchase and it is up to the seller to make up the rules.

No I get that. Just seems silly to not just send it UPS and make the sale. Especially on a bass that’s been in inventory for that length of time.

Business must be booming to lose a $2800 sale over something this simple.

It’s not always that simple. If I contracted with FedEx for all my shipping I wouldn’t use some other service either. Would it be too much to be early to work on the day your bass would be delivered. One day to be slightly inconvenienced for a bass I wanted would not be a deal breaker for me, but that’s just me.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to sit around for several hours before we open. I order new basses all the time. Most sellers and stores just work with you. Judging by this stores reviews, I’m not the only customer that had issues.

Plus I saved myself some money bc I found another Lakland later that day for less and they had no problem sending it UPS.
