Reverb vs Google search Problems

I have been wondering about this for some time.

I googled B15n for sale and got this

I clicked onto the link and it took me to Reverb

then I copied and pasted "ampeg b-15n...a direct Copy and Paste into the search parameters and came up with this...

Google says its there, Reverb says its there, but Reverb says it is not there.

I see this problem all the time when I search for things on reverb.

what gives?

Building a functional search engine involves lots and lots of man hours from a really large team of code craftsmen.

It’s expensive even to do it poorly, and financial security & data security are definitely higher priorities for a niche product marketplace.

no I haven't emailed them. do we know if they have a presence on tb?

I don’t know but they have contact, support, and faq on their site.

you might have something selected or unselected in your search settings.

Works just fine for me. I don't have a Reverb account though so there's no search settings/filters/etc at play.

I have this issue with Guitar Center. Google will say a local one in my area has something in stock I’m looking for. Then I click on the website for more details and GC’s website says not available in store.

The worst is when Google and GC’s site say it’s available in store and then I go there and an employee “can’t find it” for whatever reason.

It's a Google thing. I see these mistakes to the point that I quit clicking on the hits that are featured in the photo strip. They all seem to be bogus. Especially the Amazon and Aliexpress hits.

If you’re curious about if GC, Reverb, or whoever has a certain item in stock, why Google it? Just go to the specific, actual website.
