Reverb's New Payment Verification Process

Definitely a scam. Poor OP. So ready to be mad at Reverb. But it was a lack of awareness that did him in.

I also agree that is phishing, not Reverb. I sell stuff on there all the time and have never run into that

Ive noticed this. I think it might be because the new site doesn't put new or bumped classifieds listings through the "hot" feed. I used to get distracted all the time on the old site by classified listings that popped up on whatever my main TB home page feed was. Now I don't look at classifieds unless I purposely go to look at classifieds. The old way I'd find myself there all the time.

I've mentioned this as well, but I haven't gotten positive responses. One respondent even said "good riddance", essentially. For me, having the For Sale items show up in the New Posts feed was fun. I'm sure others disagree, maybe even the administrators.

In all seriousness, Reverb has been notified as well as my financial institution.
Still waiting on a response from Reverb, but the bank is on top of everything.
I hope to hear from Reverb soon.

I appreciate the sympathies and comradery from all of the replies.
This could happen to anyone: especially if you're little impatient like I can be at times.
