I've been playing for 30 years. I know Fender was bought by CBS in 1964. BUT I HAD NO IDEA THEY USED TO USE REVERSE TUNERS!! I bought a Fender Flea Signature Jazz and it just came in. I was drooling as I unpacked it. I put a strap on it, stuck my Snark on it, she was a little flat, so I started turning those awesome feeling tuners, and it kept going flat. Those idiots gave me left handed tuners!! Wait a minute...do left handed tuners on a right handed instrument work the same? So I called the people I bought it from. Thanks to Covid, I got somebody who told me, "no problem. I'll send you a new set of strings, just re-string it the right way. It must have snuck through inspection". WHAT??!! Hey man, I've been playing for 30 years, and I own 9 basses, 3 of which are Fenders, and none of them tune backwards. What do you think, I'm some kind of idiot?!

In ALL these years, I never knew, or heard of these tuners. Oh well, you're never too old to learn. It's an awesome bass, by the way. It just tunes backwards.
