Alright, I know that there is probably an answer in a tread somewhere to this, but I'll be hanged if I can find it. The deal is that I've got a Jazz Pup, no idea of make or year, but the point is that I'm pretty sure that it's got a broken winding. I was thinking of rewinding the thing and had about 800 questions come to mind all at once. Here's a couple I hope to get answers for. 1. How tough is it to rewind a pickup by hand? 2. Do I need special tools? 3. I'd probably wax it, so is there some special wax to use? and last 4. What is the acceptable range of gagues of wire to use, and what sort of wire? That's a lot of stuff to cover, but if you know one, please let me know, cuz I'd love to hear back on this.
