RHCP Current Set list

Good morning or evening TB,

Quick question for anyone who has seen the Red Hot Cili Peppers recently.

What is their current set list like for the Stadium Arcadium tour?

Obviously they are pushing the new album but are they filling out the set with a nice mixture of old stuff (BSSM and before) or are they just hashing out a hit parade from Californication and By the Way.

My reason for asking is that I'd like to catch them on this tour.

And given flea's new afinity for jazzes with flats - i'd really like to hear the old stuff with the new tonal palate.

I was watching the special on Fuse and I reall dug how they attacked Me and My Friends.

To me it would definitely be worth it if I could see them jam on a healthy dose of the old and new.

So long story short, please feel free to post some recent set lists

`Michael

According to setlist.com, they played the following set at the KROQ weenie roast on may 13th:

Set 1: Can't Stop, Charlie, Scar Tissue, Dani California, By the Way, How Deep is Your Love, Cmon Girl, Me and My Friends, Unknown new song, Don't Forget Me, Tell Me Baby, Californication, Right on Time, Give it Away

I have no idea what they play this year but I saw them at the Amsterdam arena aout 1 1/2 year ago and they played almost ALL of Californication and By the Way. I think they might have played "my friends" also but i'm not sure anymore.

At the very end of the show (after they walk offstage for a minute and then come back) they played the classics: Give it Away and Under the Bridge

I've been a huge fan of them since the mother's milk days and that's the first chance I had to see them (they had canceled the last show I had tickets for in '96 in Montreal because Chad had an injury)

Needless to say I was pretty pissed off they hadn't played anything else than those two very overplayed songs from their heydeys. As much as I love BTW as an album it wasn't the reason I went to see them. I was expecting some sort of greatest hits concert with 6 or 7 newer songs.

It irritates me that artists don't play stuff that got them famous in the first place in concerts, thats why I go see them, to hear the stuff I love!

As an aside note, I saw Peter Gabriel twice in concert, '94, '03 and absolutely love the guy but I'm just so disapointed everytime that he doesn't even play one or two Genesis song :bawl: (the younger ones here will have no idea at all what the hell I'm talking about here :D)

I'm finished ranting now :hiding:

Personally, I think "By The Way" is the best thing they ever did (not to demean the other albums . . . they're all great!) . . . seriously, though, there's something about the songs "Venice Queen", "Minor Thing", and "Can't Stop" . . . I just purchased "Stadium Arcadium" today, and am ripping it to my computer as we speak. Then, I shall listen, and learn of the amazingness that is the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In regards to the Peter Gabriel comment . . . I just want Genesis to all get back together. And I'm only just about to turn 19! Man, the Genesis Reunion Tour . . . THAT would be a show to see . . .
